ချင်းပြည်နယ်၊ ပလက်ဝမြို့နယ်၊ ပလက်ဝ-ကျောက်တော် ကားလမ်းပေါ်မှာ ဒေသခံပြည်သူတွေဟာ မကြာခဏ ငွေကြေး၊ ဖုန်း လုယက်မှုများရှိလာတာကြောင့် ဖြတ်သန်းသွားလာဖို့ စိုးရိမ်နေကြတယ်လို့ ဒေသခံတွေဆီက သိရပါတယ်။
ပလက်ဝ-ကျောက်တော် ကားလမ်းပေါ်ရှိ လူပြတ်တဲ့နေရာတွေမှာ၊ လူနှစ်ဦးနဲ့အထက်ရှိတဲ့ အမျိုးသားများက မျက်နှာဖုံးစွတ်ပြီး ဒေသခံပြည်သူတွေဆီက ငွေကြေး၊ ဖုန်း စတဲ့တန်ဖိုးရှိ ပစ္စည်းတွေ လုယက်မှုများ လုပ်ဆောင်လာတဲ့အတွက် စိုးရိမ်နေရတာပါ။
“ကားလမ်းတစ်လျောက်မှာ ရွာတွေရှိတယ်ဆိုပေမယ့် လူပြတ်တဲ့နေရာတွေ လည်းရှိတယ်။ လူပြတ်တဲ့နေရာမှာ အမျိုးသား နှစ်ယောက်၊ သုံးယောက်လောက်က မျက်နှာဖုံးစွတ်ပြီး ပိုက်ဆံတွေ၊ ဖုန်းတွေ လုတာပါ။ အခုဆို အဲလမ်းကို တစ်ယောက်တည်း မသွားရဲကြတော့ပါဘူး။”လို့ ပလက်ဝမြို့နယ်ဒေသခံတစ်ဦးက ပြောပါတယ်။
ပလက်ဝမြို့နယ်ကို အာရက္ခတပ်တော်(ULA/AA)မှ ထိန်းချုပ်ပြီးနောက် ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်မှ ပြောင်းရွှေ့အခြေချလာသူတွေ၊ လူစိမ်းတွေ များလာတဲ့အတွက် လုယက်မှုများ ရှိလာတာဖြစ်နိုင်တယ်လို့ ဒေသခံတွေက သုံးသပ်ထားပါတယ်။
“စိမ်းစင်း၊ သူဌေးကုန်း၊ နှမဒါ၊ စိမ်းညှင်းဝ စတဲ့ရွာတွေမှာ ရခိုင်က ပြောင်းလာသူတွေ အရမ်းများတယ်။ အိမ်ခြေ ရာနဲ့ချီရှိတယ်။ လူဦးရေ ထောင်နဲ့ချီကျော်ရှိတယ်။ အဲရွာတွေမှာ လူစိမ်းတွေ အဝင်အထွက် အရမ်းများတယ်။ မျက်နှာစိမ်းတွေချည်း။ အဲလိုအခြေအနေမျိုးမှာ လုယက်မှုတွေ ရှိလာတာပါ။” လို့ ပလက်ဝမြို့နယ်ဒေသခံတစ်ဦးက ပြောပါတယ်။
ပလက်ဝ-ကျောက်တော် ကားလမ်းပေါ်မှာ ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ဇူလိုင်လမှာ သုံးကြိမ် နဲ့ သြဂုတ်လမှာ နှစ်ကြိမ် တိတိ လုယက်မှုဖြစ်ပွားပြီး ဒေသခံပြည်သူတွေဆီက ဖုန်းနှစ်လုံး နဲ့ ပိုက်ဆံ သိန်း ၂၀ ကျော် လုယူတာခံရတယ်လို့ သိရပါတယ်။
အဲဒီ ပလက်ဝ-ကျောက်တော် ကားလမ်းမဟာ ချင်းပြည်နယ်၊ ပလက်ဝမြို့နယ် နဲ့ ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်၊ ကျောက်တော်မြို့နယ်ကို ဆက်သွယ်ထားတဲ့ ကားလမ်းဖြစ်ပြီး ယခင်က လုယက်မှုတွေ မရှိဘူးလို့ ဒေသခံတွေဆီက သိရပါတယ်။
ပလက်ဝ-ကျောက်တော် ကားလမ်းတစ်လျှောက်တွင် အာရက္ခတပ်တော် (ULA/AA) တပ်စခန်းအများပြား ရှိပေမယ့် ထိုလုယူမှုကို ကာကွယ်မှု မပေးနိုင်တဲ့အတွက် တရားဥပဒေစိုးမိုးမှု အားနည်းနေသေးတယ်လို့ ဒေသခံတွေက သုံးသပ်ထားပါတယ်။
“ကားလမ်းတစ်လျှောက်မှာ ULA/AA စခန်းရှိတယ်။ စိမ်းစင်း၊ သူဌေးကုန်း၊ နှမဒါ၊ စိမ်းညှင်းဝ၊ အောက်သဲမဝ စတဲ့ရွာမှာ AA ရှိတယ်။ သူတို့ရှိရက်သားနဲ့ လုယက်မှုရှိတာပါ။ တရားဥပဒေစိုးမိုးမှု အားနည်းမှုတို့ကြောင့် တဖက်မှာ လုယက်မှုရှိတာဖြစ်မယ်ပေါ့လေ။ အဲလိုပဲ သုံးသပ်ထားတယ်။ အရင်က အဲနေရာတွေမှာ ဘာလုယှက်မှုမှမရှိဘူး။ ဒါကြောင့်လည်း ဒေသခံတွေက စိုးရိမ်မှုမြင့်တက်နေတာပါ။”လို့ ပလက်ဝမြို့နယ်ဒေသခံတစ်ဦးက ပြောပါတယ်။
အဲဒီလုယက်မှုနှင့်ပတ်သက်၍ ULA/AA နဲ့ အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးမှူးလည်း သိရှိထားတဲ့အတွက် ဒေသခံတွေအနေနဲ့ တိုင်ကြားမှု မပြုလုပ်ခဲ့တော့ဘူးလို့ သိရပါတယ်။

Rising Robberies on Paletwa–Kyauktaw Road Spark Fears Among Locals

Residents of Paletwa Township, Chin State, say they are increasingly fearful of traveling along the Paletwa–Kyauktaw road due to frequent robberies targeting cash, phones, and other valuables.
According to locals, groups of two or more masked men have been intercepting travelers in remote stretches of the road, robbing them of money and mobile phones.
“There are villages along the road, but in the deserted areas, groups of two or three masked men stop people and take cash and phones. Now, no one dares to travel alone on that road,” a Paletwa resident told Zalen.
Residents believe the rise in robberies may be linked to the influx of migrants from Rakhine State following the Arakan Army (ULA/AA) takeover of Paletwa. Several villages—such as Sein Sin, Thutaygone, Nanda, and Sein Nhyin Wa—now host hundreds of migrant families, many of them strangers to the area, locals said.
“There are thousands of new arrivals from Rakhine in those villages. With so many outsiders coming and going, robberies have started happening,” another resident explained.
In July alone, three robberies occurred on the Paletwa–Kyauktaw road, followed by two more in August, during which locals lost two phones and over 2 million kyat, according to reports.
The road connects Paletwa Township in Chin State with Kyauktaw Township in Rakhine State and had previously been free of such crimes, residents said.
Despite multiple ULA/AA military camps being stationed along the route, the robberies continue unchecked, raising concerns about weak law enforcement.
“There are AA camps along the road and in villages like Sein Sin, Thutaygone, Nanda, Sein Nhyin Wa, and Auk Themaw. Still, robberies happen right under their watch. It shows weak law enforcement. This never happened before, so now people are more worried,” said a local.
Residents have not filed formal complaints, believing both the ULA/AA and local administrators are already aware of the incidents.
The ULA/AA previously claimed that law and order had improved in Paletwa since their takeover, according to U Khaing Thuka, a spokesperson for the group.
