အရင်က ဆေးခန်း ဆေးရုံ စာအုပ်လို ဆရာ၀န်ညွှန်ကြားချက်ပါရင် သယ်ယူခွင့်ပေးပေမယ့် အခုတော့ လုံး၀ သယ်ခွင့်မပေးတော့တာလို့ ဒေသခံတွေက ပြောပါတယ်။

ကလေးတက္ကသိုလ်ရှေ့မှာရှိတဲ့ ၈မိုင် စစ်ကောင်စီဂိတ်ဟာ ၂၀၂၄ ခုနှစ်ကတည်းက ဆန်သယ်ယူခွင့်ကို ပိတ်ပင်ထားပြီး စက်သုံးဆီသယ်ယူတာကိုလည်း ကန့်သတ်ထားသလို ဆေးဝါးကိုပါ ပိတ်ပင်လာတာပါ။

Junta Blocks Medicine Transport to Chin Hills Even with Prescriptions

Residents say Myanmar’s military junta has barred the transport of medicines from Kalay town in Sagaing Region to the Chin Hills, even for those carrying valid medical prescriptions.
Since the end of September, locals traveling from Kalay to Tedim Township in Chin State have reportedly been stopped and denied passage at the 8-Mile checkpoint.
Previously, authorities allowed medicine transport if travelers carried prescriptions or documents from hospitals or clinics, but locals report that this permission has now been completely revoked.
“In the past, you could take medicine if you had a doctor’s note or clinic record. Now, they don’t allow anyone heading to the hills to carry medicines. They’ve stopped it since the end of last month. Some medicines can be bought in Tedim, but others aren’t available there — so people with chronic illnesses are struggling to get treatment. They even check phones, ID cards, and open bags, especially if you’re carrying warm clothes or backpacks,” a local resident told Zalen.
The junta’s 8-Mile checkpoint near Kalay University had already restricted rice and fuel transport since 2024. Now, medicines have been added to the list of banned items.
Travelers between Kalay and the Chin Hills also report extortion at the checkpoint, saying that junta troops demand between 30,000 and 50,000 kyats from those without motorcycle or driving licenses.
