လတ်တလောမှာ မီဇိုရမ်ပြည်နယ်ထဲက နေရာအသီးသီးမှာ ဝါးပင်အသီးသီးတာကြောင့် ကြွက်များတိုးပွားလျက် ရှိပြီး အဆိုပါကြွက်များက လူသားများအတွက် ရောဂါသယ်ဆောင်နိုင်တာကြောင့် သတိထားကြဖို့ ကျန်းမာရေး ဌာနက သတိပေးထားပါတယ်။
လက်ရှိမှာ လုံးလေ (Lunglei)ခရိုင်ထဲက မာမ်သဲကျေးရွာ နဲ့ လုံရန်းကျေးရွာ၊ ဆဲရ်ချီပ့် (Serchhip) ခရိုင်ထဲက ခေါဘဲလ်ကျေးရွာ တို့ အပြင် နေရာအသီးသီးမှာ တောင်ယာစပါးများကို စတင်ဖျက်ဆီးနေပြီဖြစ်တာကြောင့် အဆိပ်များခတ်ပြီးရှင်းလင်းနေရ တယ်လို့သိရပါတယ်။
အဆိုပါကြွက်များက လူသားများအပေါ် ရောဂါများသယ်ဆောင်လာနိုင်ပြီး လူသားအပေါ်ကူးဆက်နိုင်ပုံတွေက တော့ ၊ ကြွက်အကိုက်ခံခြင်း၊ အခြစ်ခံခြင်း၊ ကြွက်ချီး၊ကြွက်သေး များကိုင်တွယ်ခြင်း၊ ကြွက်ပိုးများကို ရှုရှိုက်မိခြင်း၊ လက်များကို လက်ဗလာဖြင့်ကိုင်တွယ်ခြင်း၊ အိမ်မွေးတိရိစ္ဆာန် များထံက တစ်ဆင့်ကူးဆက်ခြင်း များ ဖြစ်ပေါ်နိုင်တယ်လို့သိရပါတယ်။
ကြွက်များထံကနေ ကူးစက်နိုင်တဲ့ရောဂါများကတော့ ပလိပ်ရောဂါ၊ ငှက်ဖျားရောဂါ၊ဦးနှောက် အမြှီးရောင်ရောဂါ ၊ အူရောင် ငန်းဖျားရောဂါ၊Salmonellosis ၊Lymphocytic choriomeningitis (LCM)၊ Leptospirosis နဲ့ Hymenolepiasis စတဲ့ရောဂါများကူးစက်နိုင်ပါတယ်။
အဆိုပါရောဂါများအတွက် ရှေ့ပြေးလက္ခဏာများဟာ အအေးမိခြင်း၊ ဖျားနာခြင်း၊ အာသီးရောင်ခြင်း၊ မောပန်း ခြင်း၊ ဝမ်းပျက်ဝမ်းလျှောခြင်း၊ အော့အန်ခြင်း၊ အရိုးများရောင်ပြီး နာကျင်ခြင်း စတာတွေဖြစ်နိုင်ပါတယ်။
ဒီရှေ့ပြေးလက္ခဏာများ မိမိထံတွေ့ရှိပါက အသက်အတွက် အန္တရယ်ရှိနိုင်တာကြောင့် အမြန်ဆုံးဖြင့် ဆရာဝန် ထံ ပြသကြရန်တိုက်တွန်းထားပါတယ်။

Mizoram Health Department Issues Warning Over Rat Infestation and Disease Risks

The Health Department of Mizoram has issued a public warning after a surge in the rat population across various parts of the state, following the seasonal bamboo flowering. Authorities cautioned that the rats could transmit diseases to humans.
Reports indicate that in villages such as Mamthe and Lorang in Lunglei district, and Khawbel in Serchhip district, as well as in other areas, rats have begun damaging paddy fields. Locals have started using poison to control the infestation.
Health officials explained that rats can spread diseases to humans through bites, scratches, contact with rat urine or droppings, inhalation of rat-borne pathogens, handling rats with bare hands, or via domestic animals.
Diseases potentially transmitted by rats include plague, typhus, meningitis, dysentery, salmonellosis, lymphocytic choriomeningitis (LCM), leptospirosis, and hymenolepiasis.
Early symptoms may include cold-like illness, fever, sore throat, fatigue, diarrhea, vomiting, and joint pain. Authorities urged residents to seek medical attention immediately if they experience these signs, as they could pose serious health risks.
To prevent infection, the Health Department advised maintaining cleanliness at home and in surrounding areas, avoiding careless disposal of garbage, and refraining from touching dead or live rats with bare hands.
